Tune in for Stouffville Morning, two hours of news, weather, sports, traffic details, school bus reports and fun talk all about Stouffville.
Apart from her paid job as a critical care nurse Patty is a mom of two wonderful daughters Erin and Nicole, wife of one wonderful husband Rick, mom in law of two great guys Chris (with Erin) and Nicole (with Rob) and sort of a grandma to menagerie of animals from snakes to cats. Erin and Chris finally made her a grandma to twin human grandsons Arie and Roen on January 7th. With a great interest in painting from pictures to walls and also in music which she (tries too) write and record she also occasionally performs with a band. Patty has always loved radio and had the opportunity to be on several radio stations in the past. When Patty found out about Whistle Radio she researched opportunities to volunteer for the radio station in the community she has lived in for the past 26 years. Being well paired with her intrepid co-host Edward Nelles she has a blast doing “Stouffville Morning “ each Tuesday on Whistle Radio but she also enjoys co-hosting with other great members of Whistle Radio team every now and then too. Patty looks forward to being involved with Whistle for a long time to come.
Edward spent his working life in domestic and international finance and moved to Stouffville nine years ago. He and his wife Carole reside in Ballantrae where Edward fulfills all the responsibilities of Second in Command of the Nelles household! They have two children: Michael, who is in England pursuing his Ph.D. in Heritage Structures Conservation; and Katie, Manager of Event Sales at The Fairmont St. Andrew’s, Scotland. In addition to volunteering at WhiStle Radio Edward is a member of The Facilitating Circle of the YOU177 initiative in Stouffville and a strong supporter of the Stouffville Spirit hockey team.
